I am currently working on a music theory book for adult beginners. I do not want to release too much information about it yet, but it is in progress and I am very excited about it. This book is designed for the absolute adult beginner or as a supplemental text for the college music major. It covers beginning through college level music theory in an easy to understand way assuming no background in music at all. Music students will also find this book much more practical and applicable than many college texts used today. A few basic topics covered include: Basic Theory Theory applied to Harmony Theory characteristics of major musical eras: Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Impressionism, etc. Counterpoint Jazz/Blues World Music 20th Century * All concepts are illustrated with an included composition and/or musical examples of topic.
